About La Bulaqueña

For many artists and historian, La Bulaqueña is a painting of Juan Novicio Luna.

For many residents of Bulacan, it is an annual pageant in the province which features beautiful maidens.

But for me, La Bulaqueña refers to myself.

And through this blog, I will try to do what a woman from Bulacan ought to do:

Introduce my home.

I am Angel, a full-blooded Bulaqueña.

I thrive in my passion for photography, history and the intense desire to present a different side of my province to a world that seems so clueless about it.

I have made it my lifelong mission to reveal the wonders of what people think is nothing but ordinary.

Through this blog and my passion for writing and photography,

I will attempt to make others see that like any other cities and provinces in the Philippines,

Bulacan is also a place to be.
